| System Description |
NEEDS-BULK/FDS feeds data via Internet FTP. The entire range of NEEDS data can be received this way, facilitating the integration of data into internal databanks through the use of a single source. Data files are placed on Nikkeifs servers at specified intervals (e.g. daily stock pricing files are available for download from Nikkeifs servers at approximately 15.45 JST), and can be downloaded for immediate integration into clientsf databases.

To connect to the NEEDS-BULK server via the Internet, a Global IP Address is required.
This Global IP Address of the host receiving NEEDS-BULK files is registered on the Firewall system at Nikkei's computer centre.
